November 13, 2020

Aurobindo Pharma USA Inc. is recalling 7440 bottles of children’s ibuprofen because of missing dosing cups, according to the November 11, 2020, US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Enforcement Report.

The recall is for berry-flavored Fluent Children’s Fever + Pain Ibuprofen Oral Suspension, 100 mg per 5 mL, pain reliever/fever reducer, 4 fluid ounces (NDC 79395-003-92), from lot BO1020080AA3 (Exp. 7/23). The product was distributed in New Jersey by Chalkboard Health Inc.

Aurobindo Pharma voluntarily initiated the recall October 22, 2020. On November 5, 2020, the FDA designated the recall Class III. Under the recall classification, use of the recalled product is not likely to cause harm.

Children’s ibuprofen is available over the counter to reduce fever and relieve pain in children ages 2 to 11.
