A Message of Perseverance: This Storm Will Pass

cawleyI am not here to be political or promote an agenda. I am here as a citizen of this country to tell you in more than 50 years on this planet I have never in my life ever thought it would ever come to this. Pandemics, constant exposure to misinformation, lies and inaccuracies, a country divided by race, gun control, abortion and religion have tested me in every way.  I sometimes see this as a severe storm that does not seem to want to end. I understand these issues have always been a part of this country but more amplified by social media. However, our parents and grandparents have gone through similar life altering events including world wars and the great depression and turned out just fine.

I also see so many positives where each of us has stepped up to help our neighbors and strangers alike. I believe at the core of my being we will weather this storm and persevere. I believe there will be leaders who will inspire us, help us become the country we once were and to show us there is more in this world to inspire us to greatness. To inspire the next generation truly matters. To help your fellow man. To inspire others that they can become more. I tell my children there are many things in life you cannot change or have no control of but make everyday a little brighter, love and help others, give back to the less fortunate. So, for now just think we are all being tested. We must continue to persevere through this storm and when it is all said and done, I can say that we have turned the corner and see a brighter future for all of us. Remember, each day try to make that small positive difference in someone’s life. If all of us just did this little extra every day, think of how much better our world would be.
